|The Birth of Philosophical Astrology
Philosophical Astrology was born in the work of José Prudêncio Astrologia & Filosofia (2008), which came to renew Astrology as Wisdom of Life, based on the rationality of Greek Philosophy of Antiquity.
Philosophical Astrology is a system of guidance and foresight, to cultivate self-knowledge, freedom, creativity and the Wisdom of Life.
Philosophical Astrology is an innovative approach to Astrology, grounded in the tradition of Greek Philosophy. It is also a reflection and a dialogue about our Identity and our Destiny on Earth and in the Cosmos.
Philosophical Astrology should not be confused with astronomy or with science. It is not nor is it meant to be a science, rather it is inscribed in the tradition of European Wisdom of Greco-Roman mythology and in the reflexive, critical and dialogical way of Greek Philosophy of Antiquity.
Philosophical Astrology should also not be confused with conventional astrology nor with its deterministic beliefs of religious inspiration. On the contrary, Philosophical Astrology wants to be an alternative to fatalistic beliefs and to the esoteric and supernatural mentality.
Philosophical Astrology comes to retake the tradition of Philosophy as Wisdom of Life and to cultivate the audacity of assuming the responsibility and power to build our Identity and our Destiny.
